When any family or any individual makes the decision to move to a new country, it’s not a small decision.” That’s Dhenu Savla, immigration attorney based in Chicago, Illinois.
An immigrant herself, Dhenu moved to the U.S. from India when she was 10 years old, and later attended law school at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Through this process, she realized she wanted to help others understand their rights and navigate the legal system to achieve their own immigration goals.
“Clients oftentimes have very little understanding of their rights, of what they are able to do and not do,” Dhenu says. “My favorite thing about being an attorney is the fact that it gives me the opportunity to empower people.”
