In what has now become a familiar scene, protestors filled the streets in cities across America last night. This time, to protest a New York grand jury’s decision not to indict police officer Daniel Panteleo. In July, Panteleo used a banned chokehold method on an unarmed black man, Eric Garner, which led to Garner’s death. The fatal altercation was captured on film.
Avvo legal analyst Lisa Bloom covered the jury’s decision, expressing outrage and alarm at racial injustice in the U.S. legal system — just as she has done in the cases of Mike Brown, Renisha McBride, Trayvon Martin and others.
Below, Lisa’s commentary as the “no indictment” decision in the Eric Garner case was announced.
We say #BlackLivesMatter because in our criminal justice system, they so obviously don't. In 2014, #BlackLivesMatter is a radical statement.

For those who didn't see the glaring injustice of Trayvon Martin case, there's Mike Brown. For those who still didn't get it, Eric Garner

"Every time you see me, you want to mess with me. I'm tired of it. It stops today." Among final words of #EricGarner.

Eric Garner said “I can’t breathe” & police choked him anyway ON VIDEO. Every decent person should be sickened by no indictment today.

Cops waited 7 minutes to give Eric Garner CPR. Remember the nurse who wanted to aid Mike Brown but was blocked by cops? I do.

Cop whose chokehold killed Eric Garner had 2 recent suits for racial bias and excessive force. “Broken” doesn’t begin to describe our system

Let's see the Eric Garner grand jury transcripts. Release them.

Today should be the last day local prosecutors “prosecute” police buddies for killing civilians. Need a new class of unbiased lawyers for it

Just what we need...another hysterical reaction but this time by someone who should know better. We expect people who aren't familiar with the legal system to have impulsive reactions to highly-charged matters but we like to believe that lawyers are able to look at things somewhat objectively.
Hopefully, Ms Bloom is smarter than she appears in her Tweets or blogs are whatever they are and "dumbs down" her comments because she knows on which side her bread is buttered. Nonetheless this is shameful behavior.
